The professional career of the experienced former US national champion Larry Warbasse will now continue. The 34-year-old recently admitted he was unsure of his future but has now been given a lifeline by the Swiss Tudor Pro Cycling Team.
“It’s a great project and a team that is making rapid progress, something that I and many others have taken note of over the last few years. When the team approached me, I didn’t hesitate and couldn’t think of anything.” “I would rather advance my career,” says the American in an official press release from his new employer. “Next season will be my 13th as a professional and I look forward to both helping our front runners perform at their best in the biggest races and supporting the younger riders in the team to reach their full potential. This is a motivation and a forward-thinking team with world-class partners, from Tudor to BMC and many more, and I can’t wait to get started!”
After racing in the professional peloton for 12 seasons, Warbasse has 11 Grand Tour appearances to his name and has signed a one-year contract with the team led by Fabian Cancellara. Aside from his aforementioned victory at the US National Championship in 2017, the only other victory on his palmares came in the form of a stage at the 2017 Tour de Suisse, but Tudor will be a very reliable support for mountain climbing in 2025 offer.
The former Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale Team rider also completes the Tudor Pro Cycling Team line-up for 2025, joining players such as Julian Alaphilippe, Marco Haller, Marc Hirschi and Fabian Lienhard, as well as young talents Fabian Weiss and Aivaras Mikutis from the development team as new additions to their 30-man squad for the upcoming campaign.
