Tyson Fury reveals huge bank balance ahead of Oleksandr Usyk fight, calls money his ‘sole motivation’

Tyson Fury, the world heavyweight boxing champion, has revealed he has £200million in his bank account and admitted money is his only motivation to keep fighting.

The Gypsy King made these candid comments ahead of his highly anticipated rematch against Oleksandr Usyk, scheduled for December 21st.

Fury’s candid admission comes as he prepares to avenge the only defeat of his professional career.

In this fight he will try to regain the undisputed heavyweight title from Usyk, who secured a split decision victory in the previous duel.

In an interview with Sky Sports, Fury was clear about his motives. He explained: “Andy Lee never had £200 million in the bank to make him happy, did he?”

“So what is my goal and what is my goal? It’s not a belt. It’s not a legacy. It’s not a boxing match. It’s about making as much money as possible.”

The boxer continued: “To achieve this I have to fight as many fights as possible until the wheels fall off and I’m 50 years old, crippled with a stick, walking down the street. That’s how I’ll be.”

Fury’s blunt honesty sets him apart in the world of professional boxing.

Fury’s candid approach also extends to his views on his past fights.

Fury’s focus on monetary gain is clear. He explained: “I ask myself, ‘How much money can I make at a given point in my career?’ If you want to fight, the only question I ask is ‘How much?'”

The rematch between Fury and Usyk is scheduled for December 21st. Usyk’s previous victory crowned him the first undisputed heavyweight champion since Lennox Lewis in 1999.

Despite his defeat, Fury remains optimistic about the fight ahead.
