Plus a handful of new bikes, built-in storage and your choice of a water bottle.

The “Ring of Death” may sound like something involving motorcycles in a circus, but for the geeks of this podcast, it refers to a potentially dangerous wear ring that can develop on the steerer tube of a fork when riding a bike with a loose one Tax rate drives. This is something the geeks have discussed a lot in the past, but this week you’ll hear from carbon fiber safety and repair expert Raoul Luescher about whether it’s possible to repair the “Ring of Death” (on carbon forks) and what the most common cause is that’s what it is for.

Of course, this week’s episode of Geek Warning also features coverage of new bikes, including the Orbea Avant Endurance Road, Lapierre Xelius DRS Road, Festka Specter Gravel and Rocky Mountain Element XC. Dave and Suvi also share what’s on their minds and they (try to) choose their favorite water bottles.

Enjoy!
