Timeform presents two interesting horses in Wolverhampton this evening.
MY GENGHIS – 17:10 Wolverhampton
My Genghis has returned to form since being fitted with blinders and took advantage of a reduced mark when scoring over six furlongs at this course last month and had a piece in hand at the line.
He had no problem getting back on the turf at Brighton last week, sweating beforehand, but proved better than ever, clearly enjoying the heavy ground and was on his way to a five-and-a-half length success. He’s struggling with a wide draw tonight but has coped well with a £5 penalty and is clearly on the rise at the moment.
DIAMOND RANGER – 18:45 Wolverhampton
Diamond Rangers He doesn’t go on grass often, but he proved he is just as effective on grass when he got his first win for these teams at Windsor last month, and he has run just as well in defeat in both starts since.
He looked good on his last start at Kempton, doing best of those close with strong pace, while his rider also lost the reins in the final stages. This was a stronger race than the one he faces tonight and he should also be well suited if he gets back up on this longer trip, so he seems a horse to be positive about.
